Dieses Notenheft mit 2 CDs bietet auf 104 Seiten 18 Jazzstandards für männliche Stimmen.Die Titel kann man auf dem Cover ablesen. Ich muss sie nicht abschreiben.Das Buch trägt den Untertitel Male Voice Volume 1.Also gibt es wohl auch Volume 2 und Female Voice - Ausgaben.Die CDs enthalten alle Titel als Orchester-Playback ohne Gesang und als Demo mit Gesang.Die Titel sind etwa hälftig mehr für Bariton oder mehr für Tenor beherrschbar.Aber sie sind ausgebildeten Sängern in beiden Stimmlagen zumutbar.Das Heft ist mehr als nur Sheetmusic.Alle Titel sind als Gesangsnoten mit Text abgedruckt, ergänzt um eine einfache Klavierbegleitung aus Bassnoten und Akkorden.Für Gitarristen sind zusätzlich Grifftabellen hinzu gefügt worden.Am Ende gibt es noch einmal alle Texte ohne Noten.In dieser Form hat das Buch dreifachen Nutzen:Karaoke-Sänger, die auf Familienfeiern den Sinatra geben wollen, nehmen einfach nur die Texte am Ende zur Kenntnis und hören damit die Demos so lange ab, bis sie auch die Playbacks ohne den Gesang mitsingen können.Wer Klavier nach Noten gelernt hat, kann die Klavierfassung einüben und dann die Titel wahlweise auch ohne CD singen.Gitarristen, die die Akkordgrafiken verstehen, können nebenbei eine ganze Menge Jazzakkorde lernen, die freundlicherweise meist als Offene Akkorde dargestellt sind. Nur selten müssen sie ihren Fingern einen Barré-Griff zumuten.Was nicht funktioniert, ist die Software TNT, die Audio in Tempo und Tonhöhe verändern kann.Das beigefügte Programm ist für sehr alte Apple Computer gedacht.Ansonsten gibt also viel zu lernen. Habt Spass.

Die Auswahl der Stücke ist natürlich Geschmackssache, mir gefällt sie aber sehr gut. Etwas umständlich finde ich die Sortierung der vocals und der playbacks, die 8 Stücke auseinander liegen, also nicht nebeneinander. Dadurch ist das wechseln von der einen zu der anderen Version recht mühsam. Wegen der insgesamt sehr guten Brauchbarkeit dennoch 5 Sterne.
